We knew there were three-week old kittens in this bush. First, we trapped their mom because she’s the key to keeping them safe and healthy until they are old enough to be on their own. Once she was secure, we scooped the kittens. Their eyes were crusted shut so we brought them to the vet. They were fighting off serious upper respiratory infections, which, in kittens, can often involve swollen, painful, and infected eyes. Untreated, this can even result in damage so severe that kittens can lose their sight or even need their eyes removed to prevent ongoing pain and infections. Some of the damage had already set in—but with antibiotics and close care in foster, they’re finally on the mend. We named them Truss and Gable, and their mom is Plinth. Thanks to you, these kittens are healing now, safe inside with their mom. Without intervention, their story could have ended very differently. Thank you for making rescues like this possible.
