On this incredibly beautiful but wet late summer morning black cats Blackie and Big Boy say everybody’s all wet from the rain as they sit down to eat breakfast with their kittens. As I opened the glass door Blackie walked into the doorway and looked inside as her wet kittens walked right inside my house. As I stepped outside the kittens followed me but one of the black girls continued to explore the house because she’s so brave. I put one container of dry cat food down as Big Boy was looking at the other bowl of cat food I had left outside but it was now full of rainwater so I had to dump it out. Big Boy moved over to join the other three black kitties who were busily eating their breakfast of dry cat food. Blackie was standing by the glass door letting everyone else eat before she eats like she always does. The white girl was soaking wet but it didn’t seem to bother her as she was laying in a puddle on the deck while playing with my old yellow work boots. The white boy was nowhere to be found as he was probably sleeping in their house. Hearty was standing at the glass door watching everyone as one of the black girls walked up to greet him. Blackie had moved over to the corner of the deck where she sat down to start her guard duties.
