Three of Basi’s kittens have been living with Kira, who has completely accepted them as her own. She takes care of them, washes them, stays close to them and gives them all the love and attention they need.
But today their birth mom Basi comes into the room to visit her babies.
You might expect the kittens to immediately recognize their real mother and run to her. Instead, something very different happens. The kittens stay close to Kira — and Kira makes it very clear that she considers these little ones part of her family now. 🥹
Watching the two mother cats together is fascinating. Basi is their biological mom, but during the time they have spent apart, Kira has formed a very strong bond with the kittens. And judging by the way they run to her, that bond goes both ways.
