The Himalayan is a beautiful cat with silky Persian fur and pointed colors on the ears, tail, face and paws reminiscent of a Siamese cat. Their bright blue eyes are another nod to Siamese ancestry. They love attention and love from their owners, have sweet, gentle personalities, and are very playful. The Himalayan coat requires daily grooming with a sturdy wide-toothed comb, as its long, silky hair is prone to tangles and mats. This will help prevent tangles and rugs while removing dirt, dust, debris, and loose hair. Your Himalayan should also see a professional groomer every few months to ensure his coat is healthy and clean.
