Two kittens, Poki and Appa, cheer each other on as they navigate their way to a warm home under the care of foster parent Abby Meltzer in Washington D.C.
The kittens were part of a litter brought into a shelter at just a few days old, requiring bottle feedings and special attention due to mobility challenges.
Despite initial difficulties, with Poki taking to the bottle quickly and Appa needing tube-feeding, both kittens thrived under supportive care and encouragement.
The siblings exhibited determination and playful spirit, overcoming physical challenges by scooting around their nest and eventually graduating to their own playpen at three weeks old.
While both kittens showed signs of Flat Chested Kitten Syndrome, Poki and Appa, at six weeks old, have blossomed into fearless, rambunctious kittens, with Poki receiving specialized care for a more pronounced case. They continue to be bonded and supportive of each other’s journey to recovery.
