We rescued two abandoned kittens left on the side of the road next to an open field. There was no food or water nearby. There was a church down the road that these cats could have been left at to be found, but they chose to dump them instead. There was a large bin with an undetermined amount of severely decomposed kittens inside, who were either dead upon arrival or died from overheating inside of that bin because they were unable to escape it.
This incident occurred in Washington State, 3,000 miles away from my home. It was the weekend so there were no services available, however a nice woman stopped and agreed to take the kittens in until Monday. Unfortunately I didn’t get her contact number, so I’m unsure of their current condition. I would have taken them home to live with me if I wasn’t so far away.
Please bring unwanted animals to a shelter, they deserve life just as much as we do.
