Two kittens were found abandoned in a cardboard box. One of the kittens was sick and weak, and the other one was fiercely defending him. When a rescuer tried to reach in, the kitten hissed and arched her back. She was highly aggressive and scared, and she didn’t want anyone to bother her brother.
The rescuers did their best to gain the kitten’s trust. They slowly got closer to her, talking to her in a calm voice and offering her food. Eventually, the kitten lowered her defenses and allowed them to pick up her brother.
Sadly, the sick kitten didn’t make it, but the other kitten was taken to a shelter, where she was given food, water, and a warm place to sleep. She was also given a teddy bear to cuddle with, which helped her to feel safe and loved.
