Guys, as we entered one slum, the sound of howling dogs grew louder, and our hearts raced with fear. Then, we saw him, a small kitten hiding behind a pile of rubble, crying relentlessly. We searched for his siblings, but there were none to be found. The slum dwellers ignored the kitten, leaving him alone to face the pack of stray dogs who had already claimed the life of the kitten’s mother. The dogs barked and growled, warning us to stay away, but we couldn’t leave the terrified and heartbroken kitten to fend for himself. As we approached, the little kitten cried even louder, revealing the agony of seeing his mother being confronted. Tears streamed down our faces as we realized how unlucky this innocent boy was.
