This poor but plucky kitten, a recent rescue brought in to the shelter late night a week back, epitomises all that a animal living on the streets have to brave in order to survive. Victim of a dog attack, he suffered multiple wounds on his legs and is partially paralyzed. Infection from his injuries has glued shut one of his eyes and starvation has shrunk his already tiny body.
But he is undaunted, his will to live burns stronger than all the pain his body has suffered. What could change the game for him is a foster at the right time. All that he needs is a little of our love & care to come out of this. But the ideal place for that care is not an over crowded shelter rife with infections. It is a home, either a foster or a forever home.
Therefore if you can spare the time and space please volunteer to foster for your local shelter. Fostering is the single most effective way to give back to animals in need.
