Exploding Kittens and Exploding Kittens NSFW Deck from Exploding Kittens

Exploding Kittens, one of the most-backed and probably well-known games in Kickstarter history, is a card game from the same minds behind the humor blog, The Oatmeal. So, does the game live up to the hype? Watch our full review and how-to guide to the game! For full review and shopping info►

Product Info:
Exploding Kittens is a self-described highly strategic kitty-powered version of Russian Roulette, and that’s a pretty good way to describe it. The goal of the game is simple, don’t get blown up. Doing so, however, requires a bit more luck and strategy. The game is played with two to five players. The deck of cards includes four Exploding Kittens cards, six Defuse cards, and an assortment of various other cards. The Exploding Kittens: NSFW Deck is a Not Safe for Work (NSFW) expansion pack that can be played on its own or with the original game.

Shuffle all the other cards and deal four to each player. Each player is also dealt one Defuse card. Then shuffle one fewer Exploding Kittens cards than the number of people playing. Also shuffle the remaining Defuse cards back into the deck and place it at the center of the gaming area. This will be your draw pile. The game begins.

Gameplay: On each player’s turn, he plays a card from his game and draws a cards from the deck. Cards feature different actions you can play during the game.

See the Future Cards allow you to secretly peak at the next three cards in the deck
Shuffle Cards let you shuffle the deck
Attack Cards force the next player to draw two cards on his turn.
Skip Cards let you skip a turn.
Play a Favor Card to force someone to give you a card.
Counter an Attack or Favor at any time with Nope Cards, which allow you to say Nope to any action.
Cards that don’t have instructions at all are pair cards that you work to match, which allow you to then steal a card from another player on your turn.
You can play as many cards are you want on a turn but once you draw, your turn ends.

The goal of the game is not to get caught with an Exploding Kitten Card. Once you draw one of these, you have two options depending on what’s in your hand. Play a Diffuse Card and return the Exploding Kitten Card anywhere into the deck, or (if you don’t have a Diffuse Card) blow up.

The Not Safe for Work (NSFW) expansion can be played on its own or with the game. As the game title says though this version is much more adult and NSFW.
